Rufus

Rufus was born April 2007,  he is the first of my Jacks to combine all of my past Jacks (except Timmy) in his pedigree. This was exciting for me, because my first English Short-legged Jack was a female named Taz.  I ended up not having any Jacks going back to Taz.  In 2007, I purchased a little English Short-legged Jack female "Jade" as an adult from a local family. Imagine my surprise and delight when the pedigree arrived and my new little Jack went back to Taz!! 

Jade was bred to Leeim and had 3 puppies, 2 boys and a girl. I kept a boy, Rufus and my niece got the other boy, Zeus, and my nephew got the girl, Chloe.

Soon, my life took some odd turns and I ended up rehoming Jade with a dear friend down in Southern California and kept my two boys, Leeim and Rufus.

Rufus grew up into a very handsome young man.  It wasn't until 2014 that I was able to get back into breeding the Jacks. I had families who had purchased my previous puppies and were begging me for another puppy. 

Rufus is the sire of both Ditto and Nuttah.  Rufus is our totally committed TOY BOY! He will pick a new toy over steak! Christmas is his favorite time of the year.  Rufus always gets lots of new toys for Christmas. Rufus always knows which presents contain toys and he guards those presents closely, but he won't open them until you give him permission to. He knows when Christmas is coming by when we bring out the decorations and he gets very excited! He loves wearing his Christmas costumes, he has an elf costume and a Santa costume. 

Rufus is a fun loving little goofball, he's always happy and always ready to play. Rufus also loves toad trips and is always very well behaved when we visit friends and family.
